A partnership that sets digital milestones

Date
16/04/2026

The B2B e-commerce sector in particular is currently demonstrating just how rapidly markets are changing: digital sales channels are growing, and users expect intuitive processes, personalised content and seamless experiences – even in complex procurement environments. For many companies, this means they must not only optimise existing systems, but also fundamentally rethink them.

A relaunch is not an end point. It is the starting point for everything that is yet to come in the digital realm.

For dental bauer, this journey began over 14 years ago. Since then, the digital infrastructure has been continuously developed – with several relaunches serving as key milestones.

We have been supporting this development as a partner since 2014 and are shaping the next steps together. The current website relaunch is not an isolated project, but part of a consistent evolution to keep pace with the market’s growing demands. The new website therefore did not simply involve revamping an existing shop – it created a scalable commerce platform that serves as a technological and strategic foundation for the coming years.

This long-standing collaboration fosters a deep understanding of business processes, market requirements and technological interdependencies – a key prerequisite for successfully implementing complex relaunch projects.

The platform was realised in collaboration with Value Rebels: whilst Value Rebels was responsible for the product vision and digital product management, RYZE focused on technological architecture and software development.

It is precisely this close integration of different disciplines that highlights just how challenging such a relaunch actually is.

When systems grow – and expectations too

The initial situation was characterised by a deeply integrated architecture that had evolved over many years. Functionally sound – but in some respects no longer flexible enough to meet new requirements. At the same time, expectations in the B2B sector are rising significantly: intuitive navigation, personalised content, fast ordering processes and consistent product information are now taken for granted. The relaunch therefore centred on a comprehensive replatforming:

Shopware 6 as a modern front-end, SAP as the leading ERP system, and a central PIM system (Akeneo) as the ‘single source of truth’ for product data. This system landscape not only entailed technical complexity but also placed high demands on the coordination of strategy, processes and technological implementation.

The challenge lay in bringing together different systems and requirements into a consistent, high-performance platform, whilst ensuring both scalability and a compelling user experience. Particularly in the B2B environment, it is clear that commerce functionality alone is not enough – what is crucial is the interplay with a clearly managed digital experience. At the same time, the user experience was consistently placed at the centre: a fresh design, clearly structured navigation, a partially automated registration process, and numerous optimisations for B2B-specific requirements.

So how can this complexity be translated into a functioning overall system?

The solution: from a relaunch to a scalable platform

The relaunch was deliberately conceived not as an isolated project, but as the development of a future-proof platform. The aim was to organise existing complexity behind the scenes whilst simultaneously creating a clearly guided, efficient user experience.

Today, the platform combines an online shop, intelligent product search and personalised order profiles within a high-performance digital environment.
The go-live was deliberately implemented in stages: through iterative testing with real user groups, the platform was validated at an early stage and established itself stably in the market.

The result is a platform where digital experience and commerce do not exist side by side, but rather unfold their full potential through synergy.

For dental bauer, this means: more efficient processes, better data availability and a technological foundation capable of flexibly meeting future requirements.

What makes a relaunch truly successful

A look at this project highlights what website relaunches must achieve today: they are not isolated IT or design projects, but strategic transformation initiatives that bring together technology, processes, brand and user experience.

Particularly in complex system landscapes, it becomes clear just how crucial clear data structures, well-defined role models and the well-thought-out interaction of all systems are. At the same time, the user experience – even in the B2B sector – is increasingly becoming a key differentiator. Efficiency, ease of use and personalisation are no longer optional extras, but expectations. And last but not least, an iterative approach pays off: early testing and a phased roll-out help to reduce risks and sustainably increase market acceptance.

This is particularly successful when trust and long-term collaboration form the foundation. And that is why, for us at RYZE, this launch is more than just a go-live: it is further proof of what is possible when strategy, technology and creativity go hand in hand, and when the digital experience is understood as a holistic undertaking.

Because that is exactly what we stand for at RYZE: tech-driven corporate communications.

As a strategic partner, we support such projects holistically, from the initial architectural decisions through UX/UI design to technical implementation and further development.

A relaunch is not an end point.
It is the starting point for everything that is yet to come in the digital realm.

Winning the Attention Game: Strategies for communication that works

Every day, brands, platforms, creators and media fight for a few seconds of attention in the feed. Users scroll faster, consume differently and decide in fractions of a moment whether content appears interesting or not - and is therefore lost in the digital background noise. For companies, this means that if you want to remain visible today, you don't have to be louder, but more precise.
