A joint image film for DB Cargo and Coca-Cola shows how clever rail logistics and the perfect combination of train and lorry can help on the road to climate neutrality.
Coca-Cola mainly produces regionally and therefore usually has short delivery routes. But because this is not always possible, Germany's largest beverage manufacturer is increasingly relying on rail transport - and therefore on our customer DB Cargo. Both companies commissioned us to produce an image film that clearly shows the advantages that rail offers for freight transport - especially in terms of sustainability. Coca-Cola Europacific Partners Germany wants to be climate-neutral in Europe by 2040: one measure on the way there is to reduce CO2 emissions during transport.
Our brief was to create the film across the entire production pipeline: from scriptwriting, shoot planning and filming through to post-production in image and sound. A tight schedule and complex shoot planning, many stakeholders and two big names with their own messages and communication goals - the challenges of this production assignment were huge. In order to be able to cover all the filming locations during ongoing and interlinked operations in only very short time slots, our team was therefore travelling with two camera units.
The result convinced both customers. The final film clearly shows that rail freight transport and lorries complement each other perfectly. It also illustrates how DB Cargo's customised and flexible transport solutions make it possible to transport even small quantities by rail without a private siding, thus helping Coca-Cola to save CO2.
