Communication orchestration rather than siloed solutions

Date
06/05/2026

As an Ibexa partner, we attended this year’s Ibexa Summit in Lisbon and witnessed first-hand how the concept of the ‘digital experience’ is undergoing a fundamental evolution. The focus was less on a single product update and more on a strategic shift: away from isolated marketing tools and towards orchestrated platform architectures featuring integrated AI and clear governance structures. This is particularly relevant for us because we support companies precisely at this interface – as architects of orchestration layers between strategy, technology and operational implementation.

Ibexa Summit Insights

In many companies, marketing and communications platforms are becoming increasingly fragmented. Campaign tools, content management systems (CMS), customer data platforms (CDP), DAM and PIM systems, and automation solutions often operate side by side without any clear connection between them.

At the 2026 Summit, Ibexa emphasised: “Trust is the orchestration layer.” This means that, rather than stacking up siloed solutions, companies need an orchestration layer that connects data, content and channels. Ibexa therefore brings together five best-of-breed platforms (Cohesivo/CMS, Actito, Qualifio, Quable, Raptor) under a unified DXP, relying on a central orchestration engine. This allows customer journeys to be managed holistically – end-to-end across all touchpoints.

The diagram illustrates how Ibexa applies an ‘orchestration layer’ across its systems. AI agents and governance combine data, content and channel control on a single platform.

  • A holistic platform rather than a patchwork of solutions: Ibexa brings together various tools into a single Digital Experience Platform (DXP). Instead of disjointed point solutions, content and campaigns can be synchronised across all channels.
  • Trust and governance at the core: Governance rules and human oversight are built in from the outset. AI agents are given clear guidelines, ensuring transparency and traceability in every decision.
  • Harmonisation without lock-in: The five platforms remain independent and interoperable. Organisations can modernise specific areas step by step without being forced into a closed system.

Trust and human control

“Trust is the orchestration layer,” says Ibexa, summarising its philosophy. For B2B companies – both internally and externally – trust is the top priority: data sovereignty and GDPR compliance must be guaranteed. As a European alternative to US clouds, Ibexa offers a platform with a European focus. The “European Way” combines AI power with strict oversight mechanisms. For example, Ibexa AI Signature provides a complete audit trail of how an AI agent makes decisions – including data sources and confidence scores. This ensures that humans remain “the conductor” of communication, not black-box AI.

For us at RYZE, it is precisely this balance that matters. As an agency with in-depth technological expertise, we ensure that AI solutions are implemented responsibly. We support companies in building secure architectures and, with our RYZE AI Cockpit (powered by nuwacom), bring together intelligent assistants, autonomous agents and workflows in a GDPR-compliant environment. In this way, we automate routine communication tasks – from content planning to data analysis – and create space for creative strategies.

The guiding principle: making AI immediately usable whilst simultaneously establishing structures for a responsible implementation.

Composing rather than locking in (Composable Architecture)

Ibexa avoids an ‘all or nothing’ approach. Whilst platforms ranging from Cohesivo to Raptor are integrated under the DXP umbrella, they remain usable individually. If required, customers can add an Ibexa CDP, for example, without immediately replacing their CRM or CMS entirely. Composable Architecture offers the freedom to continue using existing systems. In practice, this means that a marketing director, for example, continues to use their CMS provider and gradually adds RYZE/Ibexa components (PIM, CDP, campaign tools) as soon as a return on investment becomes apparent. In this way, IT managers can achieve a smooth modernisation of their multi-channel landscape.

From RYZE’s perspective, this is where our strength lies: we design integration architectures that orchestrate the integration of CMS, PIM, CRM, DAM and other tools. In doing so, we rely on open interfaces and best practices to make content and product data centrally accessible, for example. This enables a company to deliver targeted messages, whether via the intranet, newsletters, the website or social media. This enables customers to enjoy a consistent brand experience, as ‘customer journeys are treated as living systems’.

AI agents with safety nets

With its new “Agentic AI” approach, Ibexa enables the automation of marketing tasks across all platforms. These agents handle tasks such as content creation or campaign planning, but remain controllable and verifiable. “Fragmentation is the enemy of AI at scale,” explained Ibexa’s Head of Product, Grégory Bécue. In our experience, this also applies to communication processes: where many tools operate in isolation from one another, AI remains ineffective.

RYZE complements this approach with its own technology: our RYZE AI Suite bundles modular AI services, which we support through consultancy. Thanks to our partnership with nuwacom, we can offer companies a secure AI platform that integrates seamlessly into existing systems. This significantly reduces the workload on teams and makes processes more efficient, without undermining trust in the brand’s image.

Our perspective as architects

As an Ibexa partner, we provide the missing link between strategy and technology: agency expertise + deep-tech know-how. For marketing and communications managers, this means: we first develop an overarching strategy for connected communication, based on the objectives of the CEO, CMO and CIO. We then design the technical architecture – for example, an orchestrated DXP scenario – that enables this strategy to be realised. Finally, we implement everything: from the integration of CMS, PIM and CDP to orchestration workflows.

Conclusion and Outlook

The vision of connected corporate communications is becoming a tangible reality. The Ibexa platform, with its European approach, provides a solid foundation for this: it breaks down silos, links data and builds trust through transparency. But technology alone is not enough. The right architecture and implementation are crucial – this is where RYZE comes in.

Businesses need orchestration. Various platforms offer the technology. RYZE delivers architecture, strategy and implementation. (“Communication. Orchestrated.”) With this combination of strategic vision and technical expertise, we bring marketing automation and corporate communications into harmony. Whether internal communications, content marketing or personalised B2B campaigns – we develop solutions that move people.

Marketing and IT decision-makers looking for practical solutions to their multi-channel challenges will find them here. Get in touch if you want to rethink your communications landscape – we’d be happy to advise you on orchestrating your next campaigns and platform strategy.

RYZE Digital and Ibexa: from content to customer experience

Good content alone is not enough to convince users online. With the very first click, users expect exactly the content they are looking for and which inspires them. This is another reason why we have become a partner of the Norwegian company Ibexa. The powerful Digital Experience Platform (DXP) opens up completely new possibilities in the design of digital experience worlds, which we combine with our many years of experience in corporate communication. The success of this partnership was already evident at the Ibexa Summit in January, where we were honoured as "Rising Star of the Year" - and achieved Gold status as an Ibexa partner in record time.
