Digital Public Good: TYPO3 in use for companies

Date
03/06/2025

TYPO3 was added to the register of the Digital Public Goods Alliance in May 2025. The international initiative recognises open source technologies that are publicly accessible, secure, sustainable and socially valuable. TYPO3 fulfils these criteria as a freely available CMS with a stable development structure and an active community. This is a strong signal for companies and organisations that value independence and digital sovereignty.

A platform with attitude - for organisations with aspirations

TYPO3 is not a new system, but one with a clear focus. Its open-source approach, transparent development and broad community make it particularly interesting for NGOs, public institutions and companies working for the common good.(to the TYPO3 press release)

At the same time, the CMS is suitable for classic enterprise scenarios: from multilingual corporate websites to complex content structures and integrative portal solutions.

TYPO3 as part of sustainable digital structures

As an agency, we consciously focus on technological diversity. TYPO3 is one of several platforms we work with, alongside other systems such as Ibexa or Ecoma. We use TYPO3 where its features are a good fit for the project - for example, for multilingual setups, structured content architectures or customised editorial processes. We do not make a blanket decision on which solution to use, but rather compare it with the specific goals, organisational structure and technical framework conditions of our customers. The decisive factor is that the system fits the long-term orientation and can grow flexibly with it.

Thinking technology in context

Regardless of the system approach, our focus is on developing digital platforms that are technically robust, structurally well thought-out and effective in terms of content. Whether TYPO3, Ibexa or another CMS - the decisive factor for us is how well the solution fits the digital strategy. We provide support from the initial concept to long-term support with the aim of creating digital platforms that work, grow and are sustainable in the long term.

Conclusion

The TYPO3 award emphasises that open source can be more than just a technical decision. It shows that technology can show attitude - and that this makes a real difference for certain projects.

RYZE Digital and Ibexa: from content to customer experience

Good content alone is not enough to convince users online. With the very first click, users expect exactly the content they are looking for and which inspires them. This is another reason why we have become a partner of the Norwegian company Ibexa. The powerful Digital Experience Platform (DXP) opens up completely new possibilities in the design of digital experience worlds, which we combine with our many years of experience in corporate communication. The success of this partnership was already evident at the Ibexa Summit in January, where we were honoured as "Rising Star of the Year" - and achieved Gold status as an Ibexa partner in record time.
