Today more than ever, energy companies are required to develop sustainability strategies and communicate them in a clear and comprehensible manner. RWE has also anchored sustainability in its strategic and operational business activities and has set itself the goal of being climate-neutral by 2040, among other things. For several years now, RWE has been documenting targets, measures and progress on topics ranging from climate and diversity to corporate governance in a separate non-financial report and a comprehensive sustainability report. RWE turned to our agency network with the task of optimising both reports and making them more digitally present.

Together with the contacts at RWE, we revised the structure of the sustainability report to align it even more closely with the ESG criteria and created a concept that uses separator pages and clear navigation to create a reader-friendly structure. In terms of content, it had to be ensured that the report fulfils the high requirements: The RWE Sustainability Report complies with the GRI standards and also serves as a progress report for the UN Global Compact. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations are also integrated into the report. In addition to providing conceptual advice, we also support RWE with text creation and editing as well as with integration into the Group's online presence for annual reporting.

Since its revision, the RWE Sustainability Report has been visually impressive with an optimised layout: as an interactive PDF in landscape format, it corresponds to today's digital reading habits. Thanks to the restructuring, the report now emphasises the ESG criteria more clearly. Parts of the report content from the annual report and non-financial report were also published as an HTML extract for the first time and now strengthen RWE's online presence in terms of sustainability communication. A successful collaboration between RWE and our agency network has been strengthened and expanded - we look forward to further exciting projects!
