FOLBB is a leading manufacturer of virgin fibre cartonboard with production sites in Germany and the Netherlands. The company supplies international brands with sustainable packaging solutions and focuses on responsible raw material sourcing, innovative production technologies and a clear sustainability strategy.

Our aim was to optimally prepare FOLBB for the new regulatory requirements with a stand-alone sustainability report. The report needed to accurately reflect the results of the materiality analysis, fulfil all ESRS requirements and speak a clear, appealing visual language.

In a kick-off workshop, we defined the shortlist of relevant topics and carried out a detailed GAP analysis. Based on a content longlist, we developed all report texts, conducted interviews and ensured the completeness of the required key figures.

The layout in InDesign combines a clear, navigable structure with a modern visual world of AI-generated motifs and the FOLBB corporate library. Interactive elements in the PDF facilitate navigation and increase user-friendliness. The alignment with ESRS standards ensured that the report is both legally robust and communicatively convincing.

FOLBB's Sustainability Report 2023 marks the company's successful entry into ESRS-compliant reporting. The close integration of precise content, a clear structure and a modern, accessible design has resulted in a report that serves as a blueprint for the coming years. The comprehensive preparation - from the materiality analysis to the interactive PDF - gives FOLBB a clear advantage in future mandatory sustainability reporting.
