In the second part of our series on "Corporate Video", we have already introduced the genres of explanatory video, video interview, video testimonial, recruiting video and industrial video. But that's not the end of the range of moving image possibilities. The third and final part of our series deals with the formats of training film, investor relations video, image film and brand and event video. We explain what lies behind these terms and show you how we at RYZE have already realised these genres.
Training film
"Further training plays an important role in almost every company in order to bring employees up to date with the latest technical knowledge. This is where training videos come into play, as they are an ideal tool for imparting this knowledge. Important prerequisites for good training films are the expertise of their authors in the areas of didactics, methodology, employee motivation and adult education. Incidentally, safety videos also belong in the area of training films.
Less common, but also part of this genre, are videos for analysing internal company work processes or for debriefing role plays, for example in connection with conflict situations or customer meetings.
Investor relations video and internal communication
Videos can support the communication of annual and company reports by enriching sober information with emotion. This allows them to reach users on both a cognitive and emotional level - a decisive advantage when it comes to gaining sympathy points for your own company. However, there is a fine line between guiding viewers, seduction and manipulation and this should always be taken into account when designing and implementing videos.
In the area of internal communication, videos inform employees about news or convey key company messages. For example, the films can strengthen identification with the company, create an understanding of strategic and economic goals and convey corporate values.

Image film and brand videos
Let's move on to the flagship of all corporate videos: the image film. As its name suggests, it presents the unique selling points and fundamental values of a company to its audience. It goes without saying that the company should come across as likeable and approachable as possible. In the past, it was widely believed that an image film had to have the biggest budget of all film types in the corporate video sector because of its proximity to the brand. Today, experts see things differently; a corporate documentary is just as capable of conveying the brand values and image as a glossy film - perhaps even better, as it is more authentic.

Event video
An event video has two functions: Firstly, it records what happens at an event. This may be desirable for reasons of corporate culture or because of the importance of the event and its guests. Secondly, an event video has the task of informing and involving employees who are absent from an event or join the company at a later date. In this context, it takes on a unifying function and promotes cohesion within a company.
